Deputy Director of Economics

Deep dive into business and operational matters; generating and driving cross-functional initiatives at the intersection of Economics and functional areas
Developing methodologies and calculators to evaluate the effectiveness of management decisions and transfer prices for raw materials in petrochemical processing
Identifying efficiency improvement opportunities; developing and evaluating corresponding initiatives and calculating business cases;
Analytical decision-support (economic modelling, scenario analysis, alternatives comparison, calculator development, etc.)
Business planning and management reporting
Developing an economics competency programme for adjacent functions
Optimisation, automation, and digital transformation of business processes
Managing projects of varying scale - from concept development through to presenting results at investment committees
Oversight of consolidated reporting (dedicated function)

Requirements:

Degree in Economics or Finance
5+ years of leadership experience in Economics / Finance functions
Background in large industrial companies is a plus
Strong communication skills and proven ability to build effective cross-functional relationships
Deep knowledge of management accounting and economic analysis methods; ability to see the story behind the numbers
Financial modelling skills
Experience participating in strategic projects and efficiency improvement initiatives
