Responsibilities:

  • Weekly and monthly reporting: PL and cash flow, margin analysis, cost structure analysis, working capital;
  • Business planning, budgeting, rolling forecasts and management reporting, budget limit control;
  • Group reporting and interaction with headquarters — reporting, ad-hoc analysis and alignment; reconciliation of local statutory results to Group (IFRS) management reporting;
  • Leading the controlling team as a working player-coach: setting the technical standard and doing the work alongside them.
  • Analytical decision-support (economic modelling, scenario analysis, alternatives comparison, etc.);
  • Developing methodologies and calculators to evaluate the effectiveness of management decisions of supply, pricing, logistics and operations;
  • Identifying efficiency improvement opportunities; developing and evaluating corresponding initiatives and calculating business cases — from concept through to realised impact;
  • Deep dive into business, commercial and operational matters; generating and driving cross-functional initiatives at the intersection of Economics and the functional areas (Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, Treasury);
  • Optimisation and automation of financial and business processes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Economics / Finance functions — in a hands-on, personally-doing-the-analysis capacity rather than a purely supervisory one;
  • Background in large industrial, agribusiness, commodities or distribution companies is a plus;
  • Deep knowledge of management accounting and economic analysis methods; ability to see the story behind the numbers;
  • Strong financial modelling skills;
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to build effective cross-functional relationships;
  • Portuguese or Spanish — a strong plus.
